Cancer has been stable for 26 years
New Delhi: It may seem surprising to read this, but the study of 100 top medical examinations of Indian Institutions has revealed that for the last 26 years (1990-2016) the proportion of breast cancer apart from breast cancer has remained steady. The number of cancer patients has increased due to changes in the age of the country's population. People are living longer due to which cancer in older people is more common.
Explanation in the study
According to the study published in The Lancet, the incidence of cancers other than cervical cancer has decreased from the country after Mizoram, countries such as Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa, where the epidemic is believed to be the same as our country. However, cancer levels in India are higher as compared to these countries because cancer information is late, treatment can not be done on time and poor patients are not treated.
'80% of patients can be saved sooner if they are informed'
About the patients suffering from cancer, doctors say that the number of such patients is 20-30%. Most patients come in for treatment when the cancer has reached the third-fourth or advanced stage. AIIMS Cancer Center Chief Dr. GK Rath said that "if the cancer is reported in the early stages, then 80 percent of patients can be saved." According to the study, in the year 2016, cancer of the stomach cancer (9%), breast cancer (8.2%), lung cancer (7.5 %), Lip and oral cavity cancer (7.2%), forex cancer (6.8%), colon and rheumatic cancer (5.8%), leukemia (5.2%) and cervical cancer (5.2%).
Breast Cancer Depression Increases
According to the researchers, in the last 26 years, the proportion of cancer in women of a certain age has increased by 39.1%, in addition to each state.
